Teresellus goldfieldensisThis is an exceedingly rare specimen of a new genera and species only recently described in 2005. Teresellus is among the early lower Cambrian trilobites. Soon after trilobites appeared in the lower Cambrian, they rapidly radiated among the primary trilobites in the Cambrian, the Redlichiida, Ptychopariida, Agnostida and Corynexochida. The Poleta Formation is important to understanding of the Cambrian paleogeography of western Laurentia.
