Phareodus Green River Formation Fossil FishDescription: A beautiful example of this classic species of the world famous Fossil Lake, Green River deposits. This species could reach a maximum size of 30 inches. It has the deep chocolate color contrasting against the ashen colored matrix typical of the "18 inch” layer where the best quality fossils are collected. These "ghosted” fossil fish are carefully hand-prepped to reveal the specimen’s bones, fins and head. A wonderful display piece.
