While
Olenellus are quite rarely found with more than a cephalon, Ruin
Wash in Nevada is a notable exception. This specimen is from a very
old collection, and is from a locality that is no longer collectable.
The specimen on the right has been professionally prepared to expose
the many spnies.
This
species was formerly known as Olenellus (Paedumias) clarki or (Paedumias)
clarki. The reletively widespread species is also found in the lower
Ogygopsis Faunule, Bonnia-Olenellus Biozone, Inyo-White Mountains,
Eastern California.
