GriffithidesThis is an enrolled specimen of Griffithides bufo, a rare member of the Trilobite Order Proetida, Family Proetidae. Coming from the Osagean Stage deposits of Crawfordsville, Indiana, this trilobite is a member of the last surviving order of trilobites, the Proetida. It is found in these same deposits made famous by the wonderful crinoids found there. There is also a well-preserved brachiopod on the same matrix, making for a most uncommon association plaque.
