SelenocorypheThis trilobite is a veryu rare species known as Selenocoryphe platyura that derives its name from the word for “wide-tailed”, referring to the broad pygidium. Only a handful of specimens are known, and few match this one is size and preservation. Selenocoryphe is thought to be related to Acanthocephalus, but its precise familial assignment has as yet not been made.
