Geological Time: Upper Middle Cambrian

Size: 19 mm long by 9 mm wide

Fossil Site: Weeks Formation, Millard County, Utah


EmeraldellaDescription: This unusual specimen has trilobitomorph features, and has as yet not been described in the literature. It is thought to have affinities with the EmeraldellaBurgess Shale genus Emeraldella, and is quite detailed. Notice that the pointed telson is present, as well as traces of the right antenna. This animal is exceedingly rare.
